Coastlines

How does water shape the land on Earth? This big question guides our work in science over the next month.



This past week, we looked at some coastlines in Alaska, and applied our modeling of rock, sand, and ash coasts. Using some photos from NOAA's ShoreZone website, we evaluated the erosion risk to some sandy and rocky areas. Then, we looked at a small village located just yards from the ocean, and tried to identify ways they could deal with their risk.

Halfway Day!

The Halfway Bandit strikes again! We had to figure out the legend, do the dance, sing the song, and draw him half pictures to get our stuff back.
