Computer programming is difficult!
We have been using the website code.org to learn how to write computer code. It is difficult, but we are learning a lot.

This pumpkin knows how to write words but he can not write so good. He wrote in the morning message sincerely your MEEN teachers and he also wrote this on a piece of paper kan you reed this pleez. If you were to call him something I would call him evil and mean. People think he used his stem to write. If you see this pumpkin call 911 or report to the FBI.

Maps: Part Three
Next, we thought about how we could draw a picture of our school. This is a very difficult task, made more difficult by Mr. MacLellan's insistence that we couldn't leave the classroom to look! We had to try and remember where everything was, just from our brains.
Here's what we drew. Some people chose an overhead or bird's eye view. Other people chose a side view, as if you could look through the walls. Some people did a combination, using elements of both views combined with other pictorial elements. See if you can tell which views are which!

Maps: Part Two
After discussing what is a map, and looking at some examples of maps, we moved on to making our own maps. First, we made maps of our classroom. We imagined that a giant came and took the roof off of our school. Then, we imagined that we were robins eating worms out of the grass. Yum! Then a predator came, and we had to fly up into the sky. If we looked down from this bird's eye view, what would our classroom look like?
