Maps: part one

We are learning about maps! After a discussion, we decided that a map is a view of a place (most often from above) that gives you information about where things are located. Many maps have much more information on them. Most maps have some sort of key so they can give a lot of information without becoming too confusing.

We made a list of some of the places you could make a map of. Here are some of our ideas:

United States

Treasure

Museum

Zoo

Campground

Hotel or resort

Underwater

Underground

Mining

Garden

Sky

Maze

Inside walls

Then, we looked at some mystery maps. We had to discuss with a partner or group what it was a map of, and who would use that map. Some of the maps were easy, but some were very difficult! Can you figure out what these maps are?
